HOW IT ALL STARTED?

THE FEB30 CREATIVE AGENCY SINCE 2020

Founded in 2020 by Ashiv Tatolu, our agency was born out of a passion for pushing the limits of imagination.

With Jananee at the helm as our Creative Director, we’ve assembled a super-skilled, close-knit team that

thrives on bringing ideas to life through design, film, animation, motion graphics, and all things creative.

We came up with the name 'The Feb30' while on a drive to quench a midnight food craving, which was as delicious

as relishing the memory of the very moment. From then on, it has been a gradual and little wins, that ignites glimmers, instigates the creativity and powers our dream that we dreamt together.
 

THE TRAIL

2020

February

On February 29, 2020, The Feb30 was born—

a leap-year venture driven by a passion for creative expression. Our Founder, Ashiv Tatolu and Creative Director Jananee were the founding members to envision a space where imagination could flourish and innovative ideas could take flight.

2020

June

On June 16, 2020, we celebrated our first revenue from a creative motion graphic project for an architectural firm. We helped promote their stunning projects and art installations, marking a significant milestone in our journey of creativity and collaboration; kick-started a steady revenue flow.

2021

January

As Mia Wilder approached us with a beautiful piece of her writing, we were super thrilled to translate her words to screen with stunning and enhancing visual to make it a superlative. Right from storyboarding to post-production and release, it was smooth. It was that kind of a project that would linger forever and be cherished by all of us in our team. Watch it here.

2021

February

Renowned Dr. Renita Rajan's skin and hair care brand Chosen Store approached us to promote their products. The team at Chosen is super-creative, the names of the product would stand proof to it. Dr Renita always had a creative vision and had very unique/specific requirement, which is so exciting to work on. We started off with some stop motion videos for their projects, which you can watch here.

2021

April

We curated creative stop-motion videos for a range of their products and then went on to make a product commercial featuring Actress Chaitra Reddy. White Pine Capsules is one of their best seller and ofcourse super effective supplement, for which we wrote, ideated, directed and produced a full-on commercial. You can watch it here.

2021

September

We continued making creative digital commercials for the Chosen Store and one of it was for their stellar product, TOR Bright featuring, Actress Dushara Vijayan. The video worked great and yielded results. Watch it here.

2021

December

As our portfolio grew, we started getting a few ad hoc projects and on-going projects. One of which was The Lip Balm Company, started in partnership between Dr. Renita Rajan and Actress Nayanthara with a dream of launching 100+ lip balms with specific benefits. We started curating engaging motion-graphic content for the brand. You can watch some of it here.

2022

January

As the team was super impressed by our work, we got to add on some more brands of theirs as on-going projects. Also, as the word about the quality

of work we do spread across, we were kept busy on toes with caffeinated brains. Watch one of the campaigns here.

2023

March

The rest of 2022 was glorious, with multiple works from a varied set of brands. We got to connect with wider range of clientele. And as we glided into 2023, we recieved a proposal from a Novice Businessperson who was very new to both business and the advertising industry itself. He contacted us repeatedly with a proposal to partner up with The Feb30. As we always believed in staying small and stable, and never had plans to scale up. But, when at a point like-minded creative people reached out to us to join our team, we started considering the proposal by the new entrepreneur. 

2023

June

He asked us to share our expertise in the creative front and the business front, as he started learning the marketing aspect of the industry to bring in clients. He also impressed the stake-holders initially by bringing in an investment, from his relative. We believed in what we do as always, so plunged right in with full throttle, looping in one of out mutual friends as well. Ashiv, his friend and the Noive businessman signed-up a partneship and established a parent company Creative Aura Pvt. Ltd. So, the 'Company of One' too a plunge to try out something new, was waiting to find out what the future held for the creative team. 

2024

March

With a solid investment backing us, we transitioned into an office space. As the creative team, led by Ashiv Tatolu and Jananee, began hiring new design graduates, we found it challenging to discover top talent; many demonstrated technical proficiency but lacked 'creative thinking.' While this was a setback, we embraced it as an opportunity to foster creativity in our team through hands-on experience. Meanwhile, the Sales team, guided by the novice businessman, began to find their footing.

2024

May

May 2024 was an eventful month for our entire team, filled with exciting commercial shoots and international client meetings. However, we also faced with some questionable accounts linked to a partner we dubbed the 'novice businessman.' After months of feeling overwhelmed with work and noticing financial discrepancies, we investigated the accounts and discovered that this partner been siphoning funds from the company's revenue. It was a significant setback for us.

2024

July

After three months of complete lack of accountability, we reached our breaking point. The core team of The Feb30, including Ashiv Tatolu, Jananee, and the rest of the crew, decided to leave Creative Aura Pvt. Ltd. following significant drama with the 'Novice' partner involved in fraudulent activities. We felt deeply let down and needed some time to before moving forward. The past few months were emotionally exhausting draining our spirits as the betrayal was difficult to bear.

2023

December

With our on-going projects going strong, we kept relentlessly pitching our creative works for a wider group through the newly set-up sales team. Although, we never did believe in pushing our sales through force/cold calls, as we're so used to always impress them with our works. The new team's proactive steps initially and made us think, may be it would work, let's wait. Nevertheless, word-of-mouth won once again as we bagged 9SKIN as our first big-ticket client. They said they were super impressed with our quality of work, which was a heart-warming validation. You can view the stats of our successful 9SKIN Valentine's campaign here.

2024

January

As our team grew to sustain the quality for our existing clients, and our all-new website wwent live, we started getting organic leads and enquiries. We heard all praise for our work, and scored a new lab-grown diamond brand, Glora based out of Chennai. We shot a few campaigns, curated innovative imagery using AI as a super-tool. It was all a good ride of creative flow.
